Perhaps one of these days . . .

Dear Mr Aitkenhead,

Thank you very much for your letter of the 17th. I am sorry that our story of December 16th does not take due account of the subtleties involved in running Kilquhanity House School.

I can appreciate that we might pass as ‘no rules’ at a summary glance is, in fact, a much more complicated situation.

Perhaps, one of these days, we might interview you and get a thorough look at your methods and aims.
