1949: John Wood - Teacher at Kilquhanity: Photographer
John was known as Ian in Kilquhanity
John and his partner Irma Wood were teachers in Kilquhanity in the late 1940s and the 1950s. He was usually called Ian to avoid confusion with John Aitkenhead. I don’t know all that much about either of them, but during Easter in 1949 he took a series of beautiful photographs of some of the younger pupils, many if not all of them children which he taught and looked after at the school.
Unfortunately I cannot name any of them. But here they are.
