1959: The Peace Pledge Union Summer School
Not only did John and Morag attend but their two youngest children, Lois and Gavin, went along as well.
John and Morag Aitkenhead’s involvement with both the Peace Pledge Union and the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom is noted in the article ‘Beginnings’. It was an involvement that started in 1935 and continued for many years.
Lois Aitkenhead is sitting in the front row farthest on the left with Gavin third on the left. John is sitting furthest left on the eighth step, with Morag furthest left on ninth step.
